Toffy Olowo
is an emerging Nigerian-Canadian writer and director from Toronto.
Despite the expectations of pursuing a medical career, Toffy, who graduated with First Class Distinction, decided to follow her passion for the arts. She embarked on a journey through modelling and content creation before realizing her deep-seated desire to leave her mark in the world of film.
Inspired by her experiences as part of various film crews post-college, such as working as a production assistant on the short film "EXPRESS," which recently premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, Toffy took the bold step of producing 'Whispers.'
Inspired also by the likes of Kemi Adetiba, she started training as a filmmaker. She believes in the power of storytelling and hopes to use it to reconnect and build communities. Her next goal is to direct an award-winning short narrative film.
